Five Liberty of the Seas Sailings Canceled – Royal Caribbean Needs More Time for Ship Amplification

Guests from 5 sailings in 2021 have been informed that Royal Caribbean (RCL) is canceling their trips.

The cruise line stated in an e-mail to guests that they need more time for the ship’s scheduled dry dock next year and have canceled sailings starting from February 14th 2021.

Royal Caribbean gave the guests affected several options to choose from for the inconvenience of re-booking as well as on board credit. Guests will receive $200 for interior, ocean view and balcony staterooms and $400 for suites plus an additional $50 for each third or more guest.

Guests may re-book on the Liberty of the Seas beginning April 18th 2021, they may also choose to sail on the Jewel of the Seas with sailings staring January 17th 2021. The option to book on a different class of ship is available or to cancel altogether.

The amplification is part of Royal Caribbean’s $1 billion Royal Amplified Program which was announced in March of 2018.

The Royal Amplified program spans 10 ships in four years, and touches every facet of the guest experience on a lineup of the world’s most highly regarded and award-winning ships, including Oasis and Allure of the Seas, as well as all Freedom and Voyager Class ships. The program is set to introduce a wide range of innovative features and bold, new experiences that will further build on Royal Caribbean’s best-in-class global vacation offering.” -RCL

Royal Caribbean has not announced what upgrades and enhancement Liberty of the Seas will receive we are sure they will not disappoint. According to their general statement the amplification program is to include iconic pools and attractions, elevated dining and nightlife and redefined short Caribbean getaways.
